About My Work

I love functional pots. I love the idea of the things I’ve made being used, and used well and often. As a result, most of my work is mid-range stoneware, fired with food-safe glazes. The exception would be my African Violet Pots, which are a combination of mid-range stoneware and low-fired whiteware. And sometimes, I find that some feelings just don’t fit the “functional pots”, and I find myself working things out in sculptures. Clay is amazing, the width and breadth of what it can do and what it can be!
